Health & Safety Tribunal

The Health and Safety Tribunal established by Article 23 of the Health and Safety at Work Act, is an independent and impartial body which is competent to:

  1. Hear appeals brought by any person following decisions, orders, or administrative instruments issued by the Occupational Health and Safety Authority (OHSA)
  2. Hear claims in connection with breaches of an administrative nature and as a result of which an administrative penalty can be imposed.

 

For any inquiries related to the Tribunal and on how to lodge appeals from decisions taken by OHSA, including from orders and administrative penalties issued by OHSA, relevant parties are encouraged to send an email to the Tribunal on: appeals.hst@gov.mt
