Manual Handling & Lifting (MHL) - Awareness Course
This course aims to raise awareness of manual handling risks and good practices. It does not replace the employer’s legal obligation to provide adequate training as outlined in the Health and Safety at Work Act – Act XXXIII of 2024.
Course Objectives:
- Understand ideal human posture to reduce injury risk.
- Recognise and address dangers associated with manual handling.
- Adapt techniques for various manual handling and lifting operations.
- Learn and apply safe manual handling practices.
- Gain familiarity with S.L. 646.10 – Protection against Risks of Back Injury at Work Places Regulations.
- Understand employer duties related to manual handling safety.
Course duration: 4 hours.
